My stay at Aqua Palms Waikiki had its highs and lows. The staff were friendly and helpful, enhancing my experience. However, the small and cramped accommodations left much to be desired, especially when it came to the amenities. While the location was ideal for exploring Waikiki, I found the overall experience somewhat unremarkable considering the price.

Rooms
5.0
The room was quite small and felt cramped, with issues like a malfunctioning safe and a view that didn't match the ocean-view rate I'd paid.
Service
5.0
The staff were consistently friendly and eager to assist, but the overall management during busy times was lacking, leading to delays and some miscommunication.
Location
5.0
The location was convenient, just a short walk to the beach and Ala Moana Center, making it easy to explore the area.
Dining
5.0
Having an IHOP attached to the hotel was convenient for quick meals, though I found the prices a bit steep for what was offered.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities felt outdated, and the small pool area could get overcrowded quickly. There’s limited space for lounging around.

My stay at Aqua Palms Waikiki was enjoyable overall, but there were some downsides. The friendly staff stood out, especially Charla, who helped us plan our activities. The location was perfect for getting to the beach and shopping, though a surprise amenity fee at check-in was a bit disappointing. The beds were substantial, but the rooms showed signs of age that could potentially deter some travelers.

Rooms
8.0
The room was spacious with comfy beds, though it could use some updates. I appreciated the microwave and fridge, which made it convenient for a family of four. Unfortunately, our room lacked a balcony, but I enjoyed opening the sliding door to let in fresh air.
Service
9.0
The staff were exceptionally friendly and eager to assist. Charla, in particular, made our stay nice with her helpful recommendations and warmth, which truly added to the experience.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was ideal—just a short walk to the beach and nearby shopping at Ala Moana. I appreciated the convenience of being close to the hustle of Waikiki without being right in it, as driving in that area can be tricky.
Dining
7.0
Having an IHOP right next to the hotel was a real plus for quick meals. While the food was standard chain fare, the discount for hotel guests was appreciated. I do wish there were more diverse dining options within the hotel itself.
Facilities
6.0
The amenities such as laundry facilities and free coffee in the lobby added a nice touch to the overall experience. However, the surprise amenity fee at check-in for services like Wi-Fi and towels was a letdown.

7.4/10

I had a pretty good stay at Aqua Palms Waikiki, but there were definitely a few bumps along the way. The staff was friendly and the free coffee in the lobby was a nice touch. However, the noise from the nearby road and occasional construction made things a bit rough at times.

Rooms
7.0
My room was nice and spacious with a comfortable bed, but I didn't have a great view and the shower pressure was a bit weak. Plus, I had a tiny balcony that I quickly learned to avoid leaving open since it affected the air conditioning.
Service
7.0
The staff was super helpful and friendly, and they provided great local recommendations. However, I experienced some inconveniences with maintenance issues like the elevator situation and slow room housekeeping.
Location
8.0
The location is fantastic! I could easily walk to Waikiki Beach, shops, and restaurants, plus the hotel offers a free shuttle to nearby malls and dining spots. That made my trips around the area so much easier.
Dining

Having an IHOP right at the hotel was really convenient, especially when it rained. I got a discount too, which helped save some cash. There are also lots of dining options nearby.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel had some decent amenities like on-site parking and laundry facilities, but I encountered issues with the pool and laundry being out of order. The additional complimentary water and coffee were appreciated as well.

6.8/10

I had a mixed experience at Aqua Palms Waikiki. The location was fantastic, just a short walk to the beach and lots of dining options nearby, which I loved. However, the room was smaller than I expected, and the AC was a bit too cold for comfort. Overall, I appreciated the amenities and the staff's friendliness, but the space could definitely use some improvement.

Rooms
6.0
The room was cozy but quite small for two adults and two kids. It had two queen beds and included useful amenities like a fridge and a microwave, but it did feel a bit cramped, and there was some wear showing, like a broken soap dispenser.
Service
7.0
The staff were generally friendly and eager to help. They provided umbrellas when it rained and were quick to bring me softer pillows after I asked. However, I did encounter some hiccups, like not getting my bill printed out as expected during checkout.
Location
9.0
The location couldn't be better, just about a 10-minute walk to Duke Kahanamoku Lagoon and the beach. I loved that there were plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance, and the Pink Line trolley stopped right in front of the hotel. It made getting around super easy.
Dining
8.0
Having an IHOP right in the hotel was super convenient, especially since I got a discount as a guest. It was nice to grab breakfast without needing to head out into the rain. Plus, there were more restaurant options nearby for lunch and dinner.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had nice amenities, like a pool and free coffee in the lobby, which I appreciated. However, I found the parking fee a little expensive for what it was, and the internet was bundled into a pricey package that I wasn’t keen on.

During my stay at Aqua Palms Waikiki, I experienced a blend of positive service and challenging logistics. The location was fantastic, being a short walk to the beach and various dining options. However, I encountered issues with staffing levels and room readiness, causing delays during check-in and other interactions. Overall, it provided a decent value for the price, but could benefit from improved management to enhance the guest experience.

Rooms
7.0
The room was cozy and comfortable, though small. I appreciated having a fridge and microwave, and the air conditioning did a great job of keeping things cool. However, the balcony view was disappointing since it faced away from the ocean.
Service
5.0
Although the staff were friendly and eager to assist, I often found them overwhelmed, leading to longer wait times for service. It was frustrating that no one followed up when my room safe malfunctioned.
Location
9.0
The location was a highlight—it was conveniently close to the beach and various restaurants, making it easy to explore Waikiki. I loved that I could easily stroll to many attractions.
Dining
8.0
Having an IHOP next to the hotel was a nice bonus for quick meals. I also enjoyed the complimentary water and coffee available in the lobby.
Facilities
6.0
While the facilities included a small pool and some amenities like beach towels, the limited space felt cramped when busy, which detracted from my overall experience.
